Folding Space Yoga was founded with the hope that I could share what yoga has brought me with other people. Yoga has been very healing for me both physically and mentally. When I started practicing I had a knee injury that I had been wrestling with for several years. Yoga has allowed me to heal and stay healthy physically. It also has provided me with stress relief and a space where I can make a little room wherever I need it in my life. I am grateful to be able to practice, and hope to be able to do so for a long time to come. I am happy to have the opportunity to provide other people with the chance to explore yoga to discover what it can mean for them.
I received my 200hr teaching certification in Baptiste Style Power yoga from Amazying Yoga in March 2009, and have been practicing yoga since 2006. I continue to take training courses as much as possible so that I can become a better teacher and share my knowledge.
Jenn has been practicing Hatha Yoga since 2001. After 9 years of practice, she enrolled in a RYT-200 course in the Kriplau lineage. Although the goal was to gain more knowledge about the practice of yoga, she discovered a passion for teaching. Jenn works as an academic psychological researcher and frequently works with recovering addicts and alcoholics - She fancies herself a 'professional interloper' often immersing herself in many lines of inquiry. Jenn is engrossed with behavior, specifically how individuals heal. Her diverse experiences and enthusiasm for learning allow her classes to integrate multiple lineages of yoga with the ultimate goal of removing ego mind and integrating with the divine.
